Every dollar paid to the Village is received and accounted for by the Village Treasurer. The Treasurer, Cathy Odom, is responsible for all deposits, investments, billing, and collection and disbursement of property taxes and personal property taxes.

Village property taxes are mailed to property owners once a year in early July and are due September 14th. After September 14th of each year all the uncollected real property taxes are turned over to the Antrim County Treasurer for collection.Taxes are calculated on the taxable value of the property. Millage rates are set by the Village Council.

Another responsibility of the Treasurer is to help the Village Council prepare the village budget. The village's fiscal year starts on March 1st and ends on the last day of the following February. Click for a 2012-2013 budget summary. Click for a detailed fund budget for 2012-2013.

The Treasurer also serves as Deputy Clerk. Village office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The offices are open during the lunch hour.
